This is a hardy, evergreen herb often grown for it culinary uses. It likes full sun and thrives in well drained, dry or light sandy soils. Thymes are generally low growing perennials, and form mounds or carpets. In late spring the aromatic gold/green foliage of Doone Valley is topped by masses of small, pretty flowers, which are loved by bees. Thyme is an essential element in any herb garden, and makes a superb addition to a hot, sunny or Mediterranean border. It can be also container grown.

These Herb Plugs are supplied as very well rooted healthy plug plants and are ready for potting straight into at least a 9cm pot. They are best grown on in a frost free greenhouse or indoors on a windowsill and planted out into the Hanging Basket or garden once fully established.
