The VertiGarden modular system can be used as a single unit, in which case it replaces a hanging basket, or in linked modules when they become a unique, versatile and creative vertical garden. The more you grow the greater the impact and effect and your imagination becomes the only limitation. Maximise growing potential in limited spaces, the versatile VertiGarden is also suitable for herbs & fruit (eg strawberries). VertiGarden lends itself to creative gardening, the possibilities are endless!

Each VertiGarden Module is 500mm x 400mm with a depth of about 90mm (20" x 16" x 3"), a module comprises of an outer metal frame, a grow tray and a lid, a mesh top and an inline internal irrigation system. This irrigation system provides water directly to the roots at 8 points within the grow tray. The grow tray is divided internally into four sections each having its own two inline drippers and drainage.

Each VertiGarden comes complete with its own irrigation system and wall fixings.

You will require approximately 10 litres of compost and 16 plants (and we also recommend using a slow release fertilizer).

PLANTING: The VertiGarden is designed to be planted with plug plants. The timing, planting & growing is just the same as for hanging baskets/containers. However the VertiGarden can also be planted in late Spring/early Summer with 9cm(3") pot plants. When using these plants the Verti-Garden module can be hung immediately for instant impact.

Once planted the module needs to be grown on in a suitable environment for about 4 weeks to allow plants to become established before hanging where required. During this growing on period the module is grown horizontally and watered overhead just like any tray of plants.

WATERING: You will also need to provide water to your Vertical Garden via the inline dripper system. To do this you will need a VertiGarden purpose made water tank that is fixed to the wall above the module (this can be filled with a watering can or hosepipe as necessary). Approximately one tank is needed per three modules if hanging as linked units.

Alternatively a micro bore irrigation system which operates through a pressure regulator can be used.

HANGING: Drill two holes and screw in the brackets, then simply hang your module. You will need to provide water to your Vertical Garden via the inline dripper system. To do this you will need a VertiGarden purpose made water tank that is fixed to the wall above the module or a micro bore irrigation system which operates through a pressure regulator.
