Dianthus 'Sunflor' Simba

You are buying Sunflor Dianthus Simba plug plants, which are ready for immediate dispatch.

These 'Sunflor' Dianthus, sometimes known as Border Carnations are a compact, hardy perennial, and will carry on producing scented flowers all summer long, ideal for cutting for indoors, where the flowers can last a very long time. Deadheading regularly prolongs the flowering period.

Plant in well-drained, neutral to alkaline soil in full sun. They grow best in soil enriched with well-rotted manure or garden compost. Apply a balanced fertiliser in spring.

These plants do quite well in exposed areas.

These Dianthus are supplied as very well rooted healthy plug plants and are ready for potting straight into at least a 9cm pot. They are best grown on in a frost free greenhouse or indoors on a windowsill and planted out into the container or garden once fully established.

They will grow to an eventual height of approximately 20/30cm + flower stems, and should be cut back at the end of flowering to prevent from going woody.
