Citrus otaitensis
Otahite Orange
This beautiful citrus plant will make an ideal gift!
You are buying one bush Otahite plant in a 20cm pot, plant height 20-30cm above the pot. Some of our stock is currently with fruit.
This is thought to be a hybrid between a lemon, sweet orange and a mandarin. This is a highly productive citrus, producing lots of white fragrant flowers and then small oval juicy fruits with a smooth orange skin. It tolerates low temperatures well.
These plants are tolerant to the cold, but it is wise to overwinter indoors or protect plants during periods of extreme cold. They grow best in a free draining soil and prefer full sun, with regular feeding necessary to produce a healthy tree. The Otahite will produce fruit more freely with higher temperatures and excellent results can be achieved when grown in a greenhouse or conservatory.
The images shown are of an actual plant we hold in stock. Where fruit is shown it may be in a ripe or unripened state. We will always endeavour to send plants that are currently fruiting (as may be shown in the image). However, occasionally this is not possible with every specimen and your citrus may not have fruit on it at the time of sending. Plants with fruit will be sent subject to availability and on a first come first served basis.
