Spray Chrysanthemum - Red

Chrysanthemums have long been the gardener and the florists favourite. Stunning flowers in a range of colours provide a rich display right into late Summer and most make superb long lasting cut flowers. 'Spray' chrysanthemums have strong upright stems with multiple blooms per stem. If you are looking for single flower per stem you should look at our range of Bloom Chrysanthemums.

Chrsyanthemums prefer a sunny spot in well drained soil, but should be kept watered in dry periods. Regular deadheading prolongs the flowering period and pinching out the tips of young plants will encourage bushy growth. Ideal for borders, or patio containers.

These are supplied as very well rooted healthy plug plants and are ready for potting straight on. They are best grown on in a frost free greenhouse or indoors on a windowsill and planted out once established.

Plug plant care: Plug plants should be unpacked immediately upon arrival and kept out of direct sunlight, if necessary the rootball should be immersed in cool water until saturated and then the plug planted into its container. Plant into a good quality potting compost, preferably a mixture including a proportion of John Innes and slow release fertiliser.
